Klimt and Schiele - Parastone Mouseion 3D Collection

Klimt and Schiele
Gustav Klimt was an Austrian Symbolist painter and one of the most prominent members of the Vienna Art Nouveau (Vienna Secession) movement. His major works include paintings, murals, sketches, and other art objects, many of which are on display in the Vienna Secession gallery. Klimt's primary subject was the female body. His works are marked by a frank eroticism—nowhere is this more apparent than in his numerous drawings in pencil.

Schiele, his protege is another Austrian painter known for the intensity of his work, and the many self-portraits the artist produced. The twisted body shapes and the expressive line that characterize Schiele's paintings and drawings mark the artist as an early exponent of Expressionism, although still strongly associated with the art nouveau movement.
